Η τελετή έναρξης των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων στην Αθήνα,ξεκίνησε με το "Ζεϊμπέκικο της Ολυμπιάδας" ή “Ζεϊμπέκικο του Δία” που συνέθεσε και διηύθυνε ο Σταύρος Ξαρχάκος.
